September 23rd, 2008 - The Cells may have been hard to find this summer, but no worries--we're still around. We just sort of took a semi-summer vacation. Well, at least SOME of us did!

Mark took the slow Cells season as an opportunity to play drums for just about every other band in Chicago. He played on the new Farewell Captain record, did a U.K. Tour with Textbook, and founded and recorded a disc with the radical anti-Bush-regime band The Statues of Liberty with members of the Bon Mots.

Johnny's been hard at work in his home studio on his own stuff and on collaborations with old pals in sunny California, and assembled a wedding band with his family members for a wedding in his clan.

In an effort to get the bill collectors off his back for good, Cory put on his ill-fitting tux and spent the summer crooning for his supper on the dinner cruise ships that sail from Navy Pier. He recommends the chicken. When he wasn't afloat, he finally learned how baseball is played and learned to camp.

But with the onset of autumn, the crisp fall Chicago air has the Cells in back-to-school mode. We've always looked best in our fall wardrobes anyway. The amps are plugged in and the drums are tuned. See you out there soon. Maybe even tonight, at the Abbey. We go on at 10:00, so join us, and get ready for Fall!

October 4th, 2007 - Cells fans in College! We've launched a college radio promotional campaign over the next several weeks -- sending out our new CD "Mayday" and encouraging college radio stations across the country to give us a spin. Do us a favor! Share your good taste with the rest of your campus! Call in or email to your college's radio station and request your favorite song off of "Mayday."

May 4th, 2007 - "Mayday" is finally available on iTunes! Get your copy today, by clicking on this cute little button: The Cells - Mayday
If you are one of our neighbors to the North, or live across the pond, have no fear, we are available in those iTunes stores too!

Do you want to hear the Cells on the radio? Well, if you live in the Chicago area, you can request to hear us on Q101's Local 101. Also, keep an ear open for us on an upcoming Thursday night installment of Radio One on WLUW 88.7. We are in the studio on May 30th, and the show will be aired at a later date. Let us know of other radio stations you would like to hear us on, and we'll send them our CD.

April 2007 - Early Happy Mayday from the Cells! And speaking of "Mayday", our latest LP is now available for download from eMusic.com (here), Napster (here), Rhapsody (here), and soon to be available worldwide on iTunes! So, go out and download "Mayday" today! And be sure to write us a review!

Remember, you can still buy "Mayday" on CD directly from us on this website, and if you do, not only will you get the joy that comes with fighting with a think layer of cellophane and security stickers, you'll also receive a CD only song, our cover of "Never My Love" by the Association.

January 2007 - Happy New Year from the Cells! After finally releasing our sophomore effort "Mayday" smack dab in the middle of this past year, we've been busy writing new songs for our as of yet untitled third release. And redesigning the website. Welcome to the New Year!
